From canoes, students study the ecology of the Swatara Creek in Lebanon.  This trip started near Harper's Tavern.

For the past 30 years, Northern Lebanon High School Ecology Club has also traveled to the mouth of the Delaware Bay (Cape Henlopen State Park near Lewes) to explore the ecosystems of the peninsula.  Originated by former teacher Jim Logan, biology teacher Ronda Sowers and earth science teacher Don Frain carry on the tradition.  The ecology club consists of ninth through twelfth graders from NLHS.
